help removing phishing script from website

Hi,
I wasn't sure if this was the right topic forum, but...
I have a humble little website, which has been shutdown due to a phishing script. However, I don't know enough about html to skillfully remove this script and my webhost wants me to delete my site entirely and replace it with a clean back-up. Problem is, I don't have a clean back-up copy.
Does anyone here know how to remove a phishing script or know of anyone who could help me with this?
Thanks in advance for your help. I'd post my site, but there's nothing to see, since it's been suspended by my webhost.

The easiest way would be to restore from a backup. Barring that, I'd need more information about what it is that was installed on your site. The biggest question in my mind is how did it get there? Most likely, there is a vulnerability in something that you are running on the site.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. My back-up copy is not clean -- I believe it contains the phishing script. I believe it got put onto my site because my password was too easy. I have a few animated GIFs on my site. Could that cause a vulnerability?
Do you know someone who could go into my admin panel and help remove the script so I can restore the site?

Never mind. My site was wiped out and I restored a back-up copy.
Now I'm having a problem uploading a few images, which I had saved within a MS Word document along with text. But I seem unable to save them as individual images, if you get what I mean, and therefore upload them to my site. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
