Integrated Monitoring & Log Analysis solution

Hi every body,
I want to have an integrated solution for log analysis that treats heterogenous log formats.
Actually we have application servers, web servers, db servers and may be OS logs to be analysed.
My question is what open source or free tool(s) should I think about to succeed this aim.

Technologies : JBOSS, APACHE, ORACLE, REDHAT, MYSQL ...

I want to have statistics and, if possible, error alerts and handling.
That's to have comprehensive status on what servers are doing and readable presentation of our logs.
there are tools for log analysis for each log format or type. but my question is can I find a tool that analyzes different kinds of log or can I make a combination of tools for this aim.
