DMOZ

Is it just me, or has the open directory (DMOZ) become useless? Actually, worse than useless.
- No one is reviewing the links to ensure they are still relavant to the cateory. Many many many of the links that are contained in it are long gone, and no longer relate to what they were submitted as.
- No one is looking at new submissions (I'm not angry personally, I got in during the hayday)
- Search engines are still sucking links out of it, which is bad information.

There are like 20000000000000000000000000000 million sites that use DMOZ. They make it really easy to incorporate their database into your site.

Incorporating shit into your website however is no justification for it in the first place

It looks like sites are including the dmoz directory to spam their site on google somehow. there are dozens of those sites that appear to be run by the same company.
