An open letter to those looking to hack e-gold

Rarely do I feel the frustration that I do now about something like this. I normally feel that people get what they deserve, but the e-gold hacker wannabes are like a mile long line of lemmings jumping to their death one at a time.

Look, do you really think that someone has found a way to tamper with a service like e-gold, where they could stand to lose a lot of money, without the company having found out through the same way you are trying to? If someone WAS able to tamper with the e-gold service, I can assure you, they would not tell YOU. They would keep it to themselves and make their money while they can.

So, what is happening here? If you follow the directions posted on the thousands of message boards, you will probably be asked to pay them some amount, and either get nothing or get the "application" described below.

You may get an "application" to hack e-gold from one of these people, but rest assured, the only one that will be hacked is YOU. That's right, the application is spyware that will try to catch you performing on-line banking or other things so the hacker can get money out of YOUR bank account.

This is one of those cases where karma will catch up to you. I don't even believe in karma, but this makes me think long and hard about it.
